OUR SCHOOL TRIPS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO COVID-19
50 Years of Bees!
With over fifty years of operation as a honey farm open to the public, we have decades of experience dealing with school groups.
Those years of feedback and experience have led us to develop what we believe is an excellent educational experience for children.
What Is Included?
With school trips, we strike a balance between fun and educational value. Between classroom time and hands-on experiences.

In the classroom
The children can learn from our genuine experts about subjects including:
- The importance of bees
- Environment and insects
- Where food comes from
- Mini-beasts
- Bee conservation
- Bee farming & care
- The honey extraction process
If you have a specific (related) subject you would like covered, please let us know.

Outside of the classroom
Activities on the day can include:
- A guided tour of Bee World
- Critter handling (with options for the brave!)
- Workshops
- Extract & pour your own honey
- Candle rolling
- Bug-hotel & seed planting
- An option for soft-play in the Play Hive
We provide all risk assessments as part of the service, as well as a full timetable for the day.
