Come along to a fun and interactive class that is designed to introduce you to the wonderful world of beeswax!
The workshop includes 3 craft activities using beeswax which is made by our very own honeybees at Quince Honey Farm. A member of our Education Team will guide you through a range of techniques in order to craft 3 types of candles and a beeswax wrap. You’ll learn about our honeybees too, how and why they make beeswax and the weird and wonderful things that we use it for. Our friendly instructor will be there every step of the way to guide you and make sure you have a wonderful crafting experience to create the following…
- Moulded candle – learn how to work with hot melted beeswax to create a candle using a silicone mould. After a demonstration, you will make your own beeswax candles from start to finish, 1 large and 1 small.
- Rolled candle – learn a different candle-making technique, using pre-cut beeswax to roll your own candle. Then, get creative by crafting leaf imprints into the beeswax to create your own unique design on your rolled candle.
- Beeswax wrap – make your own eco-friendly food wrap using beeswax and natural cotton canvas. Select from our range of nature themed stamps and edible ink to create your own bee-spoke design too!

- Suitable for beginners, age 14+
- Please wear comfortable clothing including an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
- This workshop requires dexterity in the fingers and is not suitable for people with arthritis in their hands or similar conditions that affect dexterity.
- Includes a hot drink and slice of homemade cake from our Nectary Restaurant.
- Includes a 10% discount voucher to spend in the shop on the day.
