Every year around the beginning of August, Exmoor turns purple and our beekeepers are working through the night to take the hives to the heather. The tiny heather flowers provide bees with an exquisite, bold flavoured nectar.

It’s got a really complex taste, obviously it’s sweet, as it’s honey, it really doesn’t taste sweet like other blended honeys! The flowers the bees feast on really does taste sweet affect – this reminds me of how surprising lavender cake was – I can’t describe the taste, but they are similar!
